Baby's First Swim

And as proof that we are bad Mexican parents, we took Jari to the beach for the first time while Natasha was here. His ocean baptism didn't last long, just a quick dip, and he didn't cry exactly. Mainly he practiced his monkey death grip, clenching Vlad's chest hair for dear life.

One of my main fears with a baby on a boat is sunburn. Technically, he isn't supposed to wear sunscreen yet. It's either a sunsuit, which we don't have, or shade, shade and more shade. I see a lot more beach gear in our future. Or at least an actual beach umbrella.

  1. Aww little Jari is so adorable. Baby's first dip, kind of like a sailor baptism. <3

  2. Hey Attila I bet you are a great mom, and Vlad...well, Natasha seemed to have survived childhood with him so his bloodline is probably pretty strong! That's a joke Vlady. Listen can I send a sunsuit down for you guys? I'm happy to locate several sizes if there is a place to mail them. Love, Sheila

    1. Thanks so much, Sheila! That's very, very sweet of you, but you don't have to do that. He's growing so fast now anyway that he probably wouldn't fit in it by the time it got here! Seriously, he changes every day, which is fascinating to watch but not great for clothing purchases. I hope all is well in Austin and happy New Year!
