Howdy, from the San Blas Islands! |
No, we were not lost in the jungle or abducted by a roving pack of peccaries or held hostage by Kuna Indians. We were just far from wifi for a week and a half, traveling through the Kuna Yala (aka. the San Blas Islands). We had the pleasure of having Vlad's mom with us for a week of exploring villages, snorkeling in pristine coral reefs and hanging out in one of the most gorgeous anchorages we've seen yet.
So I apologize for the lack of blog posting, but we are deep in the land of no internet for the next month or so, I'm afraid. I will do my best to get all our stories, insights and photos posted while we have a decent connection here in Nargana, an island in the Central Kuna Yala. There just might a gap or two (or three!) every now and again.
Missed your posts, but I get it. Enjoy your time in the San Blas, write those blog posts every day and save them for uploading once you have internet. Perhaps we will have to wait but then you can upload a metric butt load of posts for all of us waiting to hear what the heck you have been up to and what is annoying Sid Vicious today.
ReplyDeleteCidnie! I'm so happy to hear from you and be able to finally read your blog again, and I do indeed have a metric butt load of posts ready to go.
DeleteOh and your blog title has stuck 'I will Survive' in my head. Remind me to put some insanely catchy disco earworm into your brain sometime.
DeleteGlad I could help! If it makes you feel any better it's been in my head too.
DeleteStunning setting and I second the need for an update on Sid.
ReplyDeleteOh, he's just generally getting his hate on. And, of course, snuggling.
DeleteAh...I was asking Tom if he heard from you because I was getting worried. Glad to hear all is well down there. Here it is starting to blow hard due to a depression near us. Will be windy for the next 4 days here. Bummer too because I wanted to go diving this weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe are a-ok, Franklin. We've just been far, far away from any internet connection, which isn't always a bad thing necessarily. I hope the weather's not too bad for you this weekend.
DeleteWelcome back! I was beginning to wonder, but then figured you were out having a great time.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dani! We really did have a blast with Vlad's mom. Lots of wandering around Kuna villages and snorkeling.
DeleteGlad you are having a blast! The land of 'no internet' has its charms. Enjoy! Looking forward to an update on Sid whenever you get to it, and also all the nifty photos you will post later.
